Ameren’s Natural Gas Supply and Transportation professionals are responsible for effectively managing and operating the gas supply, storage, and pipeline transportation resources for these business units: AmerenUE gas utility businesses, and    AmerenEnergy Generating Company (AEGC), AmerenUE, AmerenEnergy Resources Generating Company (AERGC), Soyland’s Alsey plant, and the Medina Valley Co-Generation gas-fired generation units

AmerenUE is the third largest distributor of natural gas in Missouri, with approximately 127,000 customers.
Ameren Gas-Fired Generation
Natural Gas Supply and Transportation manages gas supply, transportation, and storage for 13 gas-fired generation plants in Illinois and Missouri totaling 2,400 megawatts, which is about 15 percent of Ameren’s total generation capacity. On a peak summer day, the gas demand for generation can reach nearly 300,000 MMBtu/day. For more information, email Scott Glaeser.
