Steven R. Sullivan is chairman and president, Ameren Energy Resources, Ameren Energy Generating Company and Ameren Energy Marketing.

Ameren Energy Resources is an integrated energy commodity company for non-rate-regulated generation, development and marketing companies, including Ameren Energy Marketing and Ameren Energy Generating. Ameren Energy Resources owns more than 5,000 megawatts of generating capacity.

Prior to this position, he was named senior vice president, governmental/regulatory policy, general counsel and secretary in October 2003. Starting in 1987, he served as an attorney in the Union Electric Company Legal Department. Before joining Union Electric, now named Ameren Missouri, he worked at Arthur Andersen & Co. and the law firm of Kohn, Shands, Elbert, Gianoulakis & Giljum.

Sullivan holds a bachelor's degree as well as a master's degree in business administration from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, Mo., where he was graduated Summa Cum Laude, and a law degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review and was graduated with distinction.

He passed the certified public accountant (first sitting) in 1982 and is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
