The mission of the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. It is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Gateway Chapter is organizing its annual Light The Night Walk to raise money to help those with blood cancers. This year's Light The Night will be held on Sept. 28 in Forest Park. During the event, participants will carry illuminated balloons to represent survivors, lost loved ones and supporters of their battles with cancer.

You can find more information on Light The Night Walk by visiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Gateway Chapter's Facebook page, which includes a video, or the Light The Night Walk website.

Tom Voss, chairman, president and CEO of Ameren will serve as this year's corporate chair for the Light The Night Walk.
