Ameren Illinois participated in an Electric Vehicle Forum held at Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC). The program featured presentations on the history of electric vehicle and provided information on grants available to electric vehicle owners. The program was sponsored by
Drive Electric Illinois.
Featured vehicles at the event included the Chevy Volt, the Nissan Leaf, the Mitsubishi i and even a dune buggy built by Southwestern Illinois College.
Panel members and presenters included representatives from Ford, General Motors, the Argonne National Laboratory, an electrical union, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity as well as Ameren Illinois.
