Ameren Corporation Named Recipient of Workplace Diversity Award

Representing Ameren Corporation and St. Louis-based electric utility company -- AmerenUE, Senior Vice President-Generation Thomas R. Voss and Ameren Manager of Diversity Sharon Harvey Davis accept the company's Workplace Diversity Award on Jan. 28 at a dinner for A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE Institute. More than 80,000 people across the region have participated in WORLD OF DIFFERENCE programs, learning to overcome prejudice and live more harmoniously in an increasingly diverse society.
Ameren received the WORLD OF DIFFERENCE award because of the company’s many diversity initiatives, including hiring a manager of diversity, conducting a training program on diversity issues across the organization and creating a Diversity Advisory Council to help direct the company’s diversity programs. The company has also established a range of outreach programs to minority businesses, local schools, institutions of higher education and area companies.
