Ameren employees may need to come in your home or on your property for a variety of reasons. Many times, we will be there because you called to ask for help with a service problem. Or we may need to read or replace a meter.
Some employees wear clothing that identifies their association with the company, or drive an Ameren vehicle, but others do not. However, all Ameren employees carry an Ameren photo identification card. Ask to see this photo ID before you invite the person into your home.
Ameren uses contractors for some work, such as tree trimming. Employees of these contractors should also have some form of photo ID, identifying who they are and the company they work for.
