Kendra Austin is supplier diversity executive for Ameren’s Business and Corporate Services for the entire enterprise. She contributes an understanding of the necessity for corporate involvement with diverse companies to develop and attain stronger communities.
Austin arrived at Ameren with over 11 years of experience in procurement and contract management. As a Procurement Agent and Buyer at Anheuser-Busch / Inbev, Austin managed large contracts in excess of over $250 million annually.
Austin served for 5 years as a Financial Analyst at BJC Hospital at Washington University where she researched contract details while tracking expenditures and contractual compliance. Austin also served as a diversity liaison at BJC. Austin acted as Director of Development and Technical Services as well as Manager of Administration and Senior Contract Specialist for the St. Louis and East St. Louis Housing Authority.
Austin earned her master’s degree in business administration from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo., and her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma.
