What can I expect after I submit my application?
Your application will be reviewed and our hiring team will select the most qualified candidates that meet the requirements for an interview. Interviews will be scheduled at the appropriate time.
When can I expect to hear from Ameren?
Unfortunately at this time we are not able to personally contact all applicants regarding application status. If you do meet the qualifications and are selected for an interview, you will be contacted to schedule an interview time.
Will my resume be kept on file for future openings?
To ensure you are considered for future opportunities, your resume will be kept in our applicant tracking system for three years. You need to apply for each position of interest as they become available. To make sure you are aware of new openings, you can create an email <a href="/Careers/Pages/CreateModifyJobAlerts.aspx/"> job alert</a>.
Will I be required to pass any kind of test?
Ameren does require testing for certain positions and departments. If testing is required, we will give you advance notice to make sure you are appropriately prepared. Review our management and non-management <a href="/Careers/Pages/EmploymentTesting2.aspx">testing information</a>.
Can I schedule an informational interview?
If you are interested in a department or a particular position and would like an opportunity to learn more, please contact your school's Career Services department. We encourage students to stop by our booth at career fairs to speak with our talent ambassadors. I have work samples and letters of recommendation that I’d like to submit with my resume, but I don’t see any way to include those. How can I get these to you?
Attachments can be included in your profile by clicking the Attachment section. After you have submitted your application for a particular job opening, you will not be able to change or add to that application.
If the job I am applying for requires that I submit my transcripts, how do I submit them?
An Ameren associate will contact you to discuss the options for submitting your transcripts, at the appropriate phase of the selection process.
Can I apply for a position by sending a hard copy of my resume through the U.S. mail?
Due to Federal Contractor regulations on applicant tracking, Ameren only accepts resumes via <a href="http://www.ameren.com/careers"> Ameren's Careers website</a>. <br/><br/> If you have problems submitting your resume via the website, contact <a href="mailto:erecruit@ameren.com"> Recruiting Solutions</a>. Please note, this email address does not handle customer service account information. Public internet access is provided at libraries, universities, and state employment offices.
If I apply for more than one position, can I use a different resume for each position?
Yes, you can modify your personal profile and use a different resume for each position. <ol><li>Log in with your UserID and Password.</li> <li>Go to My Career Tools</li> <li>Click Saved Resumes to select a resume you previously saved or you can save a new resume.</li></ol>
