Grants to Non-Profit Organizations

AmerenUE’s commitment to investing in communities spreads farther than just power lines. UE has been actively contributing to the unique needs of programs and organizations in the communities we serve. See our Community Connections brochure.

The Ameren Charitable Trust was established in 1944 to serve as the principal source of Ameren’s investments in a variety of community projects. Since that time, more than $68 million has been contributed to thousands of community organizations and institutions. Funding for the Trust comes entirely from corporate earnings—it is not charged to customers as a business expense. AmerenUE also makes smaller grants directly.

In keeping with our goal of enhancing the quality of life in the communities we serve, contributions support:

Social services

Educational institutions and programs

Youth activities

Civic and cultural organizations

Environment

Senior citizen organizations

UE also provides limited support to non-profit organizations in the form of surplus materials, such as office furnishings, computers and other items that have been removed from service.

The same application steps are required for non-monetary contributions.
