In Boomerang Jack and the Top Secret Energy Caper, Boomerang Jack’s good friend, super spy Agent Double-O Negative, has been attacked by a sleep ray. Before he dozes off completely, the secret agent tells Jack that the criminal mastermind Mr. X plans on stealing all of the world’s resources. Without resources, no one will be able to make electricity! Hot on the trail of Mr. X, Jack encounters the mad scientist, Dr. Shuzensachs. Together they learn about renewable resources and how we can all use energy efficiently. The play comes with a full suite of educational materials, including grade-appropriate workbooks and teacher guides. These materials reinforce the messages of Boomerang Jack and the Top Secret Energy Caper.
Boomerang Jack and the Top Secret Energy Caper is performed by professional actors from The National Theatre for Children. Based in Minneapolis, Minn., The National Theatre for Children specializes in writing and performing educational programs for children nationwide using simple sets and audience participation.
