Ameren employees are involved in the neighborhoods and communities where they live. They volunteer and participate in programs and events to enrich others and to learn more about their neighbors and co-workers.
Some recent activities include:
- Disability Mentoring Day
Ameren Network for Disabled Employees (ANDE) employee resource group hosts a disability mentoring day at Ameren Missouri. Students with all types of disabilities from St. Louis Metropolitan school districts met with Ameren employees to job shadow.
- St. Louis Business Diversity Fellows Program
Ameren Missouri participates in the St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative's leadership program, the Initiative Fellows Program, a program designed to address the interests and challenges of minority professionals to develop and advance their careers.
- Ameren presenting sponsor for Doorways - Interfaith AIDS Housing and Services
Ameren was the presenting sponsor for the Doorways - Interfaith AIDS Housing and Services' Annual Red Event. Members of Ameren's Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, Transgender Employees and Allies Network (GLEAN) employee resource group volunteered at the event by greeting and registering guests and selling raffle tickets. Over $235,000 was raised. Doorways is an interfaith agency providing affordable, secure housing and related supportive services to people living with HIV/AIDS.
