On May 4, more than 100 Ameren co-workers participated in the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.
Twenty-two teams, comprised of both Ameren Illinois and Ameren Missouri employees and family members, competed with each other to raise the most for heart disease and stroke research. Lorene Spencer, operations support representative, Division Vl, Ameren Illinois, helped organize the Pacemakers team. Spencer’s son volunteered as the team’s mascot.
The teams helped raise more than $32,000 for the organization to help improve patient care, raise awareness for heart disease and advocate for better health.
