Michael A. Chell
Michael A. Chell is a Business Development Executive in Ameren Corporation’s Economic Development Department.
As a business development executive, Michael conducts prospect handling services, provides utility customer contact services, implements utility community development industrial site and workforce programs and participates in local business appreciation programs. He also creates, develops and administers Ameren’s national economic development marketing program.
Michael has facilitated the location or expansion of development projects in the automotive, plastics, food processing, information technology and manufacturing industries throughout his career. He has spoken at many state and local conferences on business attraction, community development and business retention. Michael created three community development projects that won National Association of Development Organization Innovative Awards. He has published articles in the International Economic Development Council’s Economic Development Review on business financing and workforce development. Michael is often quoted in regional and local newspapers as an economic development expert.
Michael is a Certified Economic Developer and a member of the International Economic Development Council and is a leader in the Missouri Development Council. He holds a Masters in Public Administration from Murray State University (Murray, Kentucky).
Michael lives in Swansea, Illinois with his wife, Rebecca, and daughter, Olivia.
