Ameren and other U.S. energy companies must comply with FERC rules requiring independent functioning between the provider’s transmission function employees and its marketing function employees. Also, transmission function employees may not disclose non-public transmission information to the transmission provider’s marketing function employee. These rules are referred to as the Standards of Conduct.

Similarly, Ameren and other U.S. energy companies must comply with a set of rules referred to as Affiliate Restrictions. These rules require that to the maximum extent practical employees of the market-regulated power sales affiliate must operate separately from the employees of any affiliated franchised public utility. Also a franchised public utility with captive customers may not share market information with a market regulated power sales affiliate if the sharing could be used to the detriment of captive customers, unless simultaneously disclosed to the public.

These two rules require Ameren to post certain information on its corporate website and/or OASIS site. Ameren’s OASIS site is maintained by the Midwest ISO and can be found at http://oasis.midwestiso.org/oasis/amrn. The OASIS site may include other information related to transmission service that may not be found on this site.
