Hybrid Bucket Trucks
Ameren uses several hybrid bucket trucks that run on both diesel fuel and electricity stored in lithium batteries. These trucks use 30-50% less diesel fuel than conventional trucks, reducing smog-forming emissions by approximately 50%, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. View our hybrid truck FAQs

We are eliminating over 100 small meter reading type vehicles and the associated vehicle miles traveled. The reduction in greenhouse gases are expected to be approximately 85 tons per year.
