You will step into an action-oriented experience by having real responsibilities and work on productive assignments that merge what you have learned in the classroom with actual business interactions. Ameren makes an effort to match your interest to a similar internship, a philosophy that extends to our regular employees. Many of our past internship participants have found satisfying careers with growth potential at Ameren.
The length of your experience at Ameren depends on your academic schedule and our company needs. Ameren provides three options:

Internship: Full-time employment during the summer; usually May to mid-August.
|
|
|

|
Co-op: Full-time during one semester and summer break; approximately eight months.
|
|
|

|
Job Shadow: Full-time for one week; ideal for Spring Break week. You “shadow” an Ameren employee to learn more about the utility industry. Perhaps best for a sophomore or junior who is considering an internship or co-op the following year.
|

The Ameren internship program offers junior and senior college students an opportunity to gain insight and meaningful industry experience. The program allows us to identify talented prospective employees and allows you to explore and possibly move into a dynamic future. Requirements

Ameren offers internships and co-ops for college students meeting the following criteria:
|

Department specific major
|
|
|

|
Two year curriculum completed by the start of the program
|
|
|

|
Minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
|
|
|

|
18 years of age
|
|
|

|
Successfully passing Ameren’s drug screen
|
|
|

|
Legally eligible to work in the United States
|
|
|
|
|
