Following are AmerenUE’s guidelines to help ensure that docks, seawalls and other structures meet standards to prevent them form becoming hazards to navigation, causing pollution of the lake or interfering with the safe and reliable operation of the Bagnell Dam and the Osage Power Plant.

- Boat Dock Placement Guidelines describe setback requirements, distance from shoreline requirements, breakwater designs and more for proposed boat docks or modifications to existing boat docks.
|
- Boat Dock Specifications provide detailed technical requirements for proposed boat docks or modifications to existing boat docks.
|
- Breakwaters must be included as part of the dock design. Breakwaters that are not attached to the dock or are more than one slip width from the dock will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

- Bank Stabilization Guidelines provides specifications for seawalls. (Planting of vegetation or placement of rip-rap are preferred methods for bank stabilization.)

- Lake Fluctuation Policy provides information to help you construct you dock or other structure to withstand year-to-year, as well as day-to-day, fluctuations in Lake levels.
