Commercial (General Service) Rebate Programs and Requirements

   

Note: Rebates are limited to one measure per account per calendar year.

   

ENERGY STAR® qualified programmable thermostat(s)

A rebate for the purchase and installation of up to two (2) ENERGY STAR qualified thermostats — a rebate of forty dollars ($40) per thermostat, eighty dollars ($80) total, or 50% of the total cost in lieu of any rebate listed above, whichever is lower.

Requirements:
Must include completed application, ENERGY STAR receipt(s), and cost of labor, if any.

   

   

ENERGY STAR® qualified natural gas furnace of a rating of 90% AFUE up to 94.9% AFUE

A rebate of two hundred dollars ($200) for the purchase and installation of one (1) ENERGY STAR qualified furnace unit of 150,000 BTU or less, or 50% of the cost in lieu of any rebate listed above, whichever is lower.

Requirements:
Must include completed application, ENERGY STAR receipt, date of old equipment, and installer sign off.

   

   

ENERGY STAR® qualified natural gas furnace of a rating of 95% AFUE or higher

A rebate of three hundred dollars ($300) for the purchase and installation of one (1) high efficiency furnace unit of 150,000 BTU or greater, or 50% of the cost in lieu of any rebate listed above, whichever is lower.

Requirements:
Must include completed application, ENERGY STAR receipt, date of old equipment, and installer sign off.

   

   

High–efficiency rated natural gas furnace of a rating of 90% AFUE or higher

A rebate of four hundred seventy five dollars, ($475) for the purchase and installation of one (1) high efficiency furnace unit of 150,000 BTU or greater, or 50% of the cost in lieu of any rebate listed above, whichever is lower.

Requirements:
The unit must be high-efficiency rated (unit may or may not be ENERGY STAR rated), must include completed application, date of old equipment, and installer sign off.

   

   

Energy–efficiency steam trap replacement

A rebate of fifty dollars, ($50) per steam trap with a maximum rebate of two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500) for the purchase and replacement of up to 50 failing steam traps or 50% of the cost in lieu of any rebate, whichever is lower.

Requirements:
Must include steam trap survey/failure study report, invoice for parts and labor, and installer sign off as verification of work was completed.

   

   

High–efficiency — continuous modulating burners

A rebate of seven thousand five hundred dollars, ($7,500) for the purchase and installation of high efficiency natural gas burner equipment, or 25% of the cost in lieu of any rebate listed above, whichever is lower.

Requirements:
Must include original equipment manufacture information as well as new burner information, copy of invoice or parts and labor, and installer sign off as verification of work was completed.

   

   

High–efficiency — natural gas boiler tune up

A rebate of 50% of the cost up to a maximum rebate of five hundred dollars, ($500) per boiler for the efficiency tune up and cleaning of a natural gas fired furnace or boiler system, or 50% of the cost in lieu of any rebate listed above, whichever is lower.

Items you should ask your contractor to check for your natural gas boiler system tune-ups:

  • Measure combustion efficiency using an electronic flue gas analyzer (include a copy of the combustion analyzer test report)
  • Adjust air flow and reduce excessive stack temperatures
  • Adjust burner and gas input, manual or motorized draft control
  • Clean burners, combustion chamber and heat exchange surface
  • Clean and inspect burner nozzles
  • Check for proper venting
  • Complete visual inspection of system piping and installation
  • Check safety controls
  • Check adequacy of combustion air intake

Requirements: When you submit your rebate request, you will need to provide:

  • Boiler manufacturer
  • Model number
  • Serial #
  • Size of boiler (MBTUH)
  • Name of the technician/contractor who performed the tune-up
  • Date of the tune-up
  • Copy of the paid invoice for the tune-up
   

   

ENERGY STAR® damper replacement

A rebate of 50% of the cost of replacement damper equipment up to a maximum rebate of five hundred dollars ($500), or 50% of the cost in lieu of any rebate listed above, whichever is lower.

Requirements:
Must include copy of invoice for parts and labor, and installer sign off as verification of work was completed.

   

   

ENERGY STAR® qualified natural gas fueled food service steamer

A rebate of four hundred seventy five dollars ($475) or 50% of the cost of the purchase and installation of one (1) ENERGY STAR qualified food steamer, or 50% of the cost in lieu of any rebate listed above, whichever is lower.

Requirements:
Must include invoice of new Energy Star steamer along with supplier contact information, and invoice of parts and labor to install including contractor signature for verification.

   

   

ENERGY STAR® qualified natural gas fueled food service fryer

A rebate of three hundred fifty dollars ($350) or 50% of the cost of the purchase and installation of one (1) ENERGY STAR qualified food service fryer, or 50% of the cost in lieu of any rebate listed above, whichever is lower.

Requirements:
Must include invoice of new Energy Star fryer along with supplier contact information, and invoice of parts and labor to install including contractor signature for verification.
