More about My Electric Outage – Access with Phone Number
A quick and easy way to access My Electric Outage is with your phone number*. Ameren customers can check their power status from work or while traveling with an Internet connection and their phone number! Here’s how it works:
1.	From the Outage Information page, select your state then My Electric Outage. You will see two options for accessing My Electric Outage. Select “Phone Number – My Electric Outage.”
2.	The next screen allows you to enter your phone number. Include the area code with your entry. Tab to enter the 3-digit confirmation code displayed on the page. The confirmation code helps determine if this request is being generated from a keyboard or an automated program. Access to our system by an automated program is not allowed.    Then, click “Continue.”
3.	For confirmation that the phone number you entered is correctly associated with your account, the street address (house number) of your billing address is presented. Click “Continue” to indicate the house number is correct and to view your power status.    If the house number is not correct, update the phone number for your account online: Change Primary Phone Number.
4.	The information on the screen will indicate if the street address (house number) you confirmed has power or not. Here’s an example of My Electric Outage when the power is on. Notice the green icon. This icon is red if the address is without power.
*Access to online account and payment information cannot be made with a phone number log in. You must use the eCustomer log in – UserID and Password – to view your account and payment information.
