AmerenUE’s current aggressive tree-trimming program is funded at $50 million annually, which nearly doubles our previous annual tree-trimming budget. This program addresses overhead lines that were built to serve housing growth over the past four decades, when new trees were planted that today jeopardize the system during severe weather.
