Ameren uses four different photovoltaic technologies on our solar energy project. The year-to-date pie chart displays the total output of the four technologies in kWh. You may choose “Month” to see a year-to-date monthly generation bar chart that displays a comparison of the four technology types in kWh.  

Each colored bar represents one of the four technologies (monocrystalline, polycrystalline, thin film, or monocrystalline mounted on tracker) that Ameren has installed.

Because the installed capacity of each technology is different, we employ a “normalization” factor that adjusts each technology type to a common capacity that allows a valid comparison of efficiencies and output by type. Read more about our normalization formula.
  

• Kilowatt (kW)
  A unit of measure used to express the output power of a solar array.
    
• Kilowatthour (kWh)
  A unit of energy equivalent to one kilowatt of power expended for one hour of time. A measure of energy consumption.
