Pure Power and AmerenUE sponsored a car in the City of Cottleville’s 1st Annual Soap Box Derby. There were 10 cars entered and sponsored by area businesses. Kids from 7 to 15 years old registered to race them down the 300-foot hill on Weiss Road in Cottleville. By the end of the day 109 kids had a chance to race one of the sponsor cars down the hill.
Along with the car, UE sponsored Pit Row where the racers lined up waiting for their turn to race the cars. Pure Power set up a booth to help educate and sign up residents into the Pure Power program.
