Commercial Facility Energy Audit and Energy Efficiency Improvement Rebate Program

Older commercial equipment found in many smaller businesses often is not energy efficient, wasting energy, natural resources—and your money!

To help address this problem, AmerenUE launched the Commercial Facility Energy Audit and Energy Efficiency Rebate Program.

Through this unique program, AmerenUE-Missouri customers with commercial facilities can be reimbursed up to $1,000 for the cost of two energy audits conducted by an AmerenUE-qualified energy auditor. Then, AmerenUE will reimburse customers for 33 percent of the installation costs to implement the energy efficiency recommendations from the energy audits, up to a total of $5,000 (including the energy audit reimbursements).

The program runs until the allocated funds for the program have been distributed. The program may be renewed annually depending on program results, customer and vendor participation and available funding.

This program is part of the $26 million AmerenUE committed toward energy conservation projects as part of a settlement approved in 2002 by the Missouri Public Service Commission and other parties. Through that settlement, AmerenUE Missouri electric customers are receiving $110 million in phased-in electric rate reductions, in addition to other programs that help low-income customers and encourage energy conservation.
