Middle West Utilities Co. was reorganized as the Middle West Corp., and the "Insull Era" came to an end. Middle West Corp. retained control of CIPS.

Southern Illinois Railway & Power Co. parked this car at Eldorado, Ill., the north end of its line. CIPS ended electric railway operations with the abandonment of the Chicago & Joliet Electric Railway and the Southern Illinois Railway & Power Co.
