Grants for Nonprofit Organizations
Each year, the Ameren Corporation Charitable Trust donates millions of dollars to programs in education, services for the youth and elderly and the environment in the company’s Missouri and Illinois service areas. Corporate contributions come entirely from corporate earnings and are not charged to customers as a business expense. See the most currently available listing of Ameren’s charitable contributions.
To apply for grants, please review Ameren’s Charitable Giving Guidelines, and then submit the following information on your nonprofit organization’s letterhead:
- Ameren company that provides your service (AmerenUE, AmerenCIPS AmerenCILCO or AmerenIP)
- Mission of organization and how program/project fits mission
- An explanation of program/project; projected outcomes/results
- Fund-raising goal for program/project; current funding status
- The organization's budget and audited financial statements
- Tax status determination letter
- Roster of governing board and executive staff
- Specific amount requested
- Federal Employer ID Number

Please Note: Contributions are limited to the AmerenUE, AmerenCIPS, AmerenCILCO or AmerenIP service areas. Qualifying organizations are those which are 501(c)(3) tax-exempt. Grants are not made to individuals or political, religious, fraternal, veteran, social or similar groups. Ameren cannot donate electric or natural gas service.
