Corporate Diversity Council

 

 
Formed in March 2002 by a charter from Ameren senior management, the Ameren Corporate Diversity Council works to insure that diversity is applied at Ameren within the framework of the corporate mission, vision and values.

In 2007, the Ameren Corporate Diversity Council began the “Quest for the Best” initiative with the purpose to insure that Ameren is nationally recognized as an inclusive organization and makes each employee accountable for diversity success. A three-year strategic plan was designed to insure success and was revised in 2008.

Develop a pipeline and process to recruit, transition and support a diverse employee population.

 
     
 

2009

Develop a process to identify and eliminate barriers to inclusion in Ameren’s operational systems.

 
     
 

2010

Effectively communicate diversity success, goals, and vision to our employees, customers and community.

 
     
 

Mission Statement

 
 

Members of the Ameren Corporate Diversity Council represent all functions of the company and include both union and management employees. With its mission statement, “Celebrating diversity: Our differences strengthen us,” the Ameren Corporate Diversity Council continues to lead our effort to reach an inclusive, best in class, working culture which allows us to achieve our vision “to be the recognized performance leader of the U.S. electric and gas utility industry.”
