Louie’s Scrapbook
AmerenUE's Louie, the Lightning Bug, was one of a number of mascots who participated in this year’s fifth annual Variety Parade on Saturday, April 19, beginning at Lindell and West Pine in the Central West End in St. Louis. The parade also included giant balloons, marching bands and other mascots, Cardinal Baseball's Fredbird. The mission of Variety the Children's Charity of St. Louis is to serve children with physical and mental disabilities in the Greater St. Louis region whose needs would not be met were it not for Variety's sustained commitment. Variety children and their families were encouraged to participate to spread the word about Variety.
