What Is Changing
Here are some of the exciting improvements we have planned for you. Even if you’re already enrolled in the SIP, this is the time to take another look at the benefits it offers—and help ensure that your retirement savings are on track.

Expanded Service Center Hours
Access to the Ameren Resource Center at 877.7my.Ameren or 877.769.2637 virtually 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Customer Service Associates are available 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. CST Monday through Friday (excluding New York Stock Exchange holidays).

Enhanced Security
You have the option to change your userid to be something other than your Social Security Number.

Enhanced Investment Lineup
Two new investment options (Small/Mid Cap Growth Equity Fund and Target Retirement Date Funds) and name changes to existing options to better describe the investment objectives. See Impact to My Investment Options.

Consolidated Fidelity Accounts
If you have other personal accounts with Fidelity, you will be able to view all of your account balances simultaneously and access your accounts under your Fidelity log in.

True-up Company Match
Receive a year-end match if you contribute the IRS maximum ($15,500 in 2008) before the end of the year and, as a result, do not receive the full company match.

Annual Increase Program
If you elect to participate in the annual increase program, it can help you keep pace with your investment goals by automatically increasing your contribution percentage each year.

Auto Rebalance Service
Annually rebalance your account to stay consistent with the investment strategy you’ve chosen. You simply identify an initial investment combination, adjust your account to that mix, and let the service do the rest.

Roth 401(k) Contributions
A Roth 401(k) option lets you contribute to the SIP on an after-tax basis—and make potentially tax-free withdrawals in retirement—as long as the withdrawal is a qualified one. A qualified withdrawal is one that can be taken five tax years after the year of the first Roth contribution and after the participant has attained age 59 1/2, has become disabled, or has died.

Installment Payments
Former employees can now easily set up regular installment payments of a certain amount or percentage.

Loan Repayments
If you have an outstanding loan when you leave Ameren, you can set up coupon payments instead of having to repay the loan all at once.
