For Electric & Natural Gas Customers
The ducts throughout your home are an important part of your heating and cooling system. Unfortunately, many duct systems may suffer from cracks and gaps in joints, leaking heated air or air conditioned air into wasted spaces. Sealing these ducts can prevent losing heated or cooled air, possibly saving hundreds of dollars a year on your natural gas and electric bills.
In a typical house, however, about 20% of the air that moves through the duct system is lost due to leaks, holes, and poorly connected ducts. The result is higher utility bills and difficulty keeping the house comfortable, no matter how the thermostat is set.
