Trees and Fallen Limbs
Ameren's tree-trimming program is scheduled on four- and six-year cycles. As an Ameren customer, you are responsible for keeping trees properly maintained to your home's service entrance. You are also responsible for removing and disposing of any fallen limbs and trees along with any other debris due to storm damage or Ameren's power restoration efforts.
During storm or emergency restoration efforts:
- Ameren trims and removes trees and branches only to the extent necessary to restore electrical service.
- Ameren temporarily removes or disconnects the electric wires to allow your professional contractor to safely trim and/or remove fallen limbs and tree.
