Since 1961, Morton Community Bank has offered banking services across central Illinois. As an employee-owned
company of 400 with 28 locations, Morton Community Bank is cutting costs to stay profitable and improve service to its customers. AEM began a relationship with Morton Community Bank in 2008 and has since supplied electricity to 24 of the bank’s branches. 

“Within the past year, our contract with AEM has brought considerable savings for our electricity supply,” said Donna Weghorst, vice president of the Pekin Bank branch. “Prior to switching suppliers, we were charged for a certain amount of electricity, no matter how much we used. But with our AEM contract, we are billed for the exact amount of electricity we use, which delivers big savings for our smaller branches.” That meant approximately $300,000 in savings for Morton Community Bank.
