Community Programs
Save Money and Save Lives

Ameren Illinois offers specific programs to help homeowners, municipal employees and customers with medical equipment needs.

Do You Know What You’re Spending on Energy?

  • WATT Solutions
Ameren Illinois is working with libraries throughout our territory to make the Kill A Watt EZ device available for check out. This easy-to-use tool accurately measures the electricity needed to operate a variety of household appliances and calculates the cost of that power. By giving you a better understanding of your home energy efficiency, WATT Solutions puts the power in your hands to use less and spend less on your utility bill. Making every kilowatt count benefits the environment as well as your household budget.

Is Your Community Prepared?

  • Municipal Leaders Guide
Our Municipal Leaders Guide, available online, describes programs and activities available from Ameren Illinois. Browse through information on Safety, Emergency Response, Energy Efficiency, Tree Trimming, Energy Supply Options and more.

  • Municipal Worker Training
Firefighters, police officers, paramedics, public works employees and other municipal workers are an important link to the public, particularly during emergency situations. That’s why we offer municipal workers free workshops about the nature of electricity and natural gas, their potential hazards and how to interact with our facilities safely and effectively. For more information or to request a training session, call 309.677.5488.

Do You Have a Backup Plan for Your Electric Medical Equipment?

  • Medical Equipment Registry
Do you rely on electrically operated medical equipment at home? Just have your doctor verify that information with us, and we’ll code your account “Medical Equipment Registry.” Then we’ll make every attempt to notify you about planned maintenance outages, but be sure to have a backup plan in case of an emergency outage.
