800.755.5000 to de-energize the line before you leave the vehicle. Warn others to stay away until Ameren arrives.
If you must get out due to fire or other dangers:
- Carefully open the door.
- Cross your arms.
- Jump clear of the vehicle, making sure no part of your body touches the vehicle and ground at the same time.
- Then "hop" or shuffle away, keeping both feet together and in contact with the ground at the same time.
