For more than a century AmerenCIPS, AmerenCILCO, AmerenIP and their predecessors have proudly delivered the energy that powers your community. October 1, 2010, marked the next step in our evolution, as the three Illinois utilities merged into a single operating company - Ameren Illinois.

Our name changed slightly, but our commitment to the communities where we live and work, and to bringing you safe, reliable energy will never change. It’s all about pipes, wires and people.

The most visible change you’ll see is the new name, Ameren Illinois, on your bill and a new reference to Rate Zone rather than the previous company’s name. The Rate Zone reflects the same rate structure you were billed under prior to the merger:
