Insulating concrete form (ICF) systems are interlocking foam boards. The foam boards are zip-tied together and then reinforced with steel rods inside the core of the foam to give the wall added strength before the concrete is poured.
This system creates a wall that has a high heat resistance, making the entire structure energy efficient.
