For Electric & Natural Gas Customers
Solar window insulators, or inflectors, are a clear window shade or blind that helps reduce solar glare and blocks approximately 90% of UV rays. The panels help stabilize room temperatures and save on heating and cooling costs while not blocking visibility to the outside or preventing natural sunlight from coming in.
Insulators or inflectors can save energy by turning the correct side of the window panel toward the sun. In the winter, the panel should be turned to absorb the solar heat to help save energy used in heating. During the summer, turn the window panel around to reflect the solar heat away from your home to reduce the energy needed for cooling.
