Ameren’s Natural Gas Supply and Transportation professionals are responsible for effectively managing and operating the gas supply, storage, and pipeline transportation resources for these business units:

• Ameren Energy Generating Company (AEGC), Ameren Missouri, Ameren Energy Resources Generating Company (AERGC), Soyland's Alsey plant, and the Medina Valley Co-Generation gas-fired generation units
    

Ameren Natural Gas Utilities
The third largest distributor of natural gas in Missouri, Ameren Missouri serves approximately 127,000 customers in and around Columbia, Jefferson City, Rolla, Wentzville and Cape Girardeau. We procure, transport and deliver supply from the mid-continent and Gulf of Mexico to Ameren Missouri customers.
 
Ameren Gas-Fired Generation
Natural Gas Supply and Transportation manages gas supply, transportation and storage for 17 gas-fired generation plants in Illinois and Missouri totaling 4,500 megawatts, which is about 26% of Ameren's total generation capacity. On a peak summer day, the gas demand for generation can reach nearly 550,000 MMBtu/day.
