Lynn M. Barnes is vice president Business Planning and controller for Ameren Missouri. She joined Ameren (then Union Electric Company) in September 1997 as general supervisor, Financial Communications. Since then, Barnes has been promoted to manager, Financial Communications, and then became controller of Energy Delivery and eventually VP of Business Planning and controller of Ameren Missouri. Prior to working at Ameren, Barnes was manager, Financial Reporting for McDonnell Douglas Corporation (now Boeing Company). She began her career in public accounting at Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte).
Barnes has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Millikin University and is a licensed CPA in both Missouri and Illinois.
In August 2011, she was named one of the Most Influential Business Women by the St. Louis Business Journal. Annually, the award recognizes 25 remarkable women in St. Louis-area businesses.
Barnes serves on the American Heart Association Metro St. Louis Affiliate Board and was elected chair for 2013 - 2015. She also serves on the board of St. Louis Forum as treasurer.
