There is no certainty that the Program will extend past Aug. 31, 2012. We are planning to file an aggressive energy efficiency portfolio proposal under the new Missouri Energy Efficiency Investment Act (MEEIA) rules. The proposal will detail our plan to value demand-side investments equal to traditional investments in supply and delivery infrastructure. If the filing is approved, Ameren Missouri will again make significant investments in this beneficial resource. The goal of the 2012 Program is to maintain an energy efficiency infrastructure and Customer benefits while the MEEIA filing is being reviewed for approval.

Ameren Missouri will pay up to the $15,000 maximum incentive as long as the incentive is at least 7% of the total project cost. You must disclose the entire scope and cost of your project otherwise your incentive will be at risk. The maximum incentive cap will be $15,000 and all other program requirements must be met in order to be eligible for the incentive.

Example: Actual Project Cost: $200,000, Incentive: $15,000, Incentive factor: 7.5%. Ameren Missouri will pay $15,000

Example: Actual Project Cost: $225,000, Incentive: $15,000, Incentive factor 6.7%. Ameren Missouri will not pay an incentive

You will receive an email confirmation of receipt of your signed 620C Offer form indicating your commitment to complete a project. Ameren Missouri will reserve incentive funds for the project. You must demonstrate that your project is making significant progress toward your completion date throughout the project duration.

You will need to submit a new application under the new terms and conditions. In order to be eligible for a Standard Incentive, the project must have started after January 3, 2012. Projects must be preapproved for all Custom Incentives and Standard Incentives over $2,500. Projects with a Standard Incentives under $2,500 do not need pre-approval however, the project must not have started before January 3, 2012.

Yes. A project with a Standard Incentive less than $2,500 can have an incentive that is equal to more than 50% of the project cost. All other program requirements must be met regardless of the size of the incentive.

Although Ameren Missouri has reviewed the project application to determine the estimated savings and incentive offer on the 620 Offer form, the offered incentive is not a guarantee of incentive amount. Final review of the project, after installation, may result in adjustments to the final estimated savings and subsequent incentive paid.

Applicants have the responsibility to demonstrate the final estimated savings are reasonable, regardless of preapproval by the Program. Ameren Missouri will only pay incentives for post-installation savings that it believes are reasonable after final review.

Yes. T12 lighting retrofit projects will be eligible for a Custom Incentive. The U.S. Department of Energy set new regulations for efficiency standards on fluorescent lamps and as a result most T12s will be phased out of production in 2012. Incentives for T12 retrofits will be based on the energy savings above the baseline wattages of a standard T8 fixture.

For example, if the project consists of an upgrade from a T12 to T8 with equal lamps and a standard electronic ballast there is no incentive. If you delamped the fixture and used lower Watt lamps, the resulting savings is calculated against the standard T8 baseline. Our Program Application Tool provides the baseline wattage. Contact us for an electronic copy.
