Ameren Community Partnerships

Innovation with STEMpact Teachers
Ameren hosted several St. Louis-area educators through a partnership with the STEMpact Teacher Quality Institute. During their visit, the teachers learned about innovation projects happening in the industry that they can take back to the classroom as part of their STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) curriculum.

Get Into Energy
Get Into Energy is a partnership between Ameren and the Center for Energy Workforce Development, which builds awareness about career opportunities in the energy industry. Students interested in STEM careers met with employees for early guidance on internship and co-op opportunities.

Project Lead the Way
More than 200 students and staff from 16 St. Louis-area high schools participated in Project Lead the Way's (PLTW) 4th Annual Capstone Showcase at Ameren headquarters. PLTW is a nonprofit that promotes and prepares students for careers in STEM fields. The annual event showcases participating students' projects, which were evaluated by Ameren engineers.

STEM Expo Booth
Ameren volunteers conduct demonstrations and experiments for local students at the Spirit of St. Louis Air Show. Providing students with hands-on experience that shows how energy works, sparks interest in the STEM field.

Ritenour School District Engineer Week
A transmission engineer from Ameren meets with students during Ritenour School District's Engineering Week. The special week allows for Middle and High School students to showcase their STEM-related projects and invites multiple St. Louis area companies to talk about careers in STEM.
