Volunteerism - Making a Difference in Illinois
Employees of Ameren Illinois don’t just work in your community - we’re a part of it, too. That’s why as a company and as individuals we’ve long supported and worked side-by-side with various charitable and nonprofit organizations.
Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and we collaborate with municipalities and their service organizations to share safety information and best practices.
Ameren Illinois supports economic development in communities in our service area, building a stronger future for all of us.
Volunteers Help Change Lives
Ameren Illinois employees donate their time to make a difference in their communities, and support our employees in those efforts. We believe that this strengthens our communities as well as our company.
The Energy Assistance Foundation
The Energy Assistance Foundation has a program called Warm Neighbors Cool Friends that provides grants to those who generally don’t qualify for federal or state heating assistance - but are in danger of losing their primary heating or cooling supply. Funded by the Ameren Charitable Trust, Ameren Illinois employees and our customers, the Warm Neighbors Cool Friends program has helped weatherize more than 5,500 homes and provided heating assistance to more than 76,000 households since its inception in 1982.
