Why enroll in Paperless?

Paperless Billing is the easiest way to view your bill. It pairs perfectly with other popular tools like Auto Pay and Budget Billing.

Here's how it works:

  • Paperless bills are delivered electronically instead of through the mail.
  • You can choose to receive your bill by email, text or both.
  • Your Paperless bill looks identical to the paper statements, and you have the option to pay your bill directly from your Paperless alert.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! All of your past bills will be made available on your Online Account. Simply log into your Account Dashboard, click Billing & Payments, then Billing History to view past bills. The past statements remain available for at least 3 years even if you are no longer an Ameren customer. If you download the Ameren Mobile app, you can view your past statements up to 12 months.
No, we do not require proof of residency to set up paperless billing.
Yes! Billing & Payment alert options include bill reminders, payment confirmations, payment agreement notifications, energy assistance pledges, and other important account status updates. Simply log into your Account Dashboard and click Alerts & Notifications under "Account Support" to set up text and/or email alerts. Once configured, they go into effect immediately.

Yes. Your Paperless Billing emails and/or texts will include links to view your entire bill. The electronic bill is an identical copy of the paper bill. You must have an online account to view your full bill.
We suggest that our customers set up Billing & Payment text alerts to supplement Paperless Billing. This will ensure you are reminded at every stage of billing, from the when your bill first lands in your inbox to your payment due date. Visit your Online Dashboard and click Alerts and Notifications under "Account Support" to set up Billing & Payment reminders.
Ameren Alerts, which include Paperless Billing messages, are defaulted to not send to customers between the hours of 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. You can choose your own "Do Not Disturb" settings in the Alerts and Notifications section on your Online Account Dashboard.
