Focused Energy in Action.
Ameren Missouri presented the importance of safety and electricity through a live line demonstration to more than 500 Girl Scouts at the Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland Camporee in Dexter, MO. The scouts had the opportunity to ask linemen questions and learn hands on about their personal protective equipment.
Energy Center Tours
Ameren Missouri Business and Community Relations hosted a group of St. Louis City Aldermen and St. Louis County elected officials for a tour of Ameren Missouri's Meramec Energy Center. Director James Witges and Maintenance Manager Chuck Fedke welcomed the officials with an overview of Meramec's proud legacy of energy generation, followed by a personal tour of the plant. The elected officials were grateful for the educational opportunity, and commented it was great to see employees that really take pride in - and enjoy - their jobs.
A team of students from Westchester Elementary Green School study ways the school can save energy. The team performed energy audits in the classrooms, then compiled results and made energy-saving recommendations for the school.
