Ameren Missouri officials joined Gov. Parson in announcing the North American Crop Science Division of Bayer is relocating 500 new jobs to the St. Louis region. Bayer was able to take advantage of Ameren Missouri’s recently approved rate incentives. The announcement is another positive signal to companies looking to locate or expand in the communities served by Ameren Missouri that the state is a great place to do business.
Plumrose USA, a prepared foods and packaged meat company, is planning to build a new facility in Moberly that will produce ready-to-eat, fully-cooked bacon, creating nearly 200 new jobs to the region. Ameren Missouri’s economic development incentive was a key part of bringing the project to fruition. “We’re thrilled Plumrose USA has committed to expand its operations to Missouri,” said Matt Forck, Vice President Community, Economic Development and Energy Solutions at Ameren Missouri. “Every day we work hard to partner with customers, communities and businesses to support their goals and growth. Ameren Missouri’s Economic Development Incentive, one of the best energy incentive tools in the country, was an important solution to attract this project to Moberly. This announcement sends a positive signal to companies looking to locate or expand in the communities served by Ameren Missouri and shows our state is a great place to do business.”
