Savings for Government Facilities
Ameren Missouri understands the growing challenges government agencies face today with rising costs, aging infrastructure and increasingly stringent regulatory requirements. Taking advantage of the BizSavers® incentive program and effectively managing your utilities can help reduce your energy costs, improve your services and increase your community support.

Popular Efficiency Measures

Government facilities and municipalities can replace inefficient lighting, including metal halides and T-12 fluorescent lighting, with more efficient T-8s or T-5s. LEDs and occupancy sensors are also valuable money-saving upgrades that are eligible for cash incentives.
Consider installing heat pumps with high EERs or adding controls to your equipment which dramatically reduces wasted energy.

Commercial Cooking
The BizSavers program offers incentives for several commercial cooking equipment upgrades. Check out our incentives for ENERGY STAR® holding cabinets.
motor controls vfds
Motor Controls/VFDs Variable frequency drives (VFDs) are a great energy saving measure for water and wastewater treatment plants. Installing VFDs on fixed-speed fans and pumps can save 10-50% in energy costs.
Whole Building Performance/Retro-Commissioning (RCx)
Achieve optimal system energy use and efficiency through calibration and maintenance of current building systems. Building systems and controls optimization can qualify for big cash incentives.

Options to Save Energy and Earn Cash Incentives

Standard Incentives
Incentives are paid on a per unit-installed basis and are available for a variety of qualified improvements. Projects that include all Standard measures do not require pre-approval unless the incentive is anticipated to be more than $10,000. For incentives more than $10,000, please see Custom Incentive below. Eligibility for a Standard Incentive requires customers to install measures achieving a minimum total incentive of $150 per application. All Standard Incentive applications must be submitted within 180 days of equipment invoice date.

Get Started! Apply for a Standard Incentive now and receive an incentive check 45-60 days after completion paperwork is received.

Custom Incentives

If your project is not on the Standard Incentives list, it may qualify for a Custom Incentive. Virtually any cost-effective energy efficient project qualifies for a Custom Incentive. These incentives are calculated based on the projected annual energy reduction.

Get Started! Custom Incentives require pre-approval before purchase or installation. Apply for a Custom Incentive today.

Whole Building Performance/Retro-Commissioning Incentives (RCx)
Retro-Commissioning (RCx) is the process of optimizing systems within your building and requires an extensive facility assessment to explore energy-saving opportunities. RCx is a good solution for large buildings. The program pays $.02-.03 per kWh for the assessment (depending on size of the building), in addition to $.07 per kWh saved on all RCx projects.

Get Started! You must use a pre-approved RCx service provider (RSP), so contact an RSP to get started today.
