Energy Efficient Industrial Improvements

Through Ameren Missouri's BizSavers® program, your business can take advantage of cash incentives that help offset the costs of energy efficiency upgrades of your equipment and production processes. These types of upgrades can reduce operating costs, increase productivity, and stretch your capital budget.

Popular Efficiency Measures

rcx
Retro-Commissioning (RCx) Current Systems
Achieve optimal system energy use and efficiency through calibration and maintenance of current systems. Compressed air, building controls, and refrigeration systems optimization qualifies for cash incentives. Additionally, production and process systems may be eligible for RCx incentives.

VFD Installation
Save thousands of dollars annually by adding variable frequency drives (VFDs) to motors. On top of the cash incentives for installing VFDs, controlling motor speed can save 10-50% in energy costs.

HVAC
Save big by replacing inefficient HVAC systems. Consider installing heat pumps with high EERs or adding controls to your equipment, which dramatically reduce energy waste.

Options to Save Energy and Earn Cash Incentives

Standard Incentives
Incentives are paid on a per unit-installed basis and are available for a variety of qualified improvements. Projects that include all Standard measures do not require pre-approval unless the incentive is anticipated to be more than $10,000. For incentives more than $10,000, please see Custom Incentive below. Eligibility for a Standard Incentive requires customers to install measures achieving a minimum total incentive of $150 per application. All Standard Incentive applications must be submitted within 180 days of equipment invoice date.

Get Started! Apply for a Standard Incentive now and receive an incentive check 45-60 days after completion paperwork is received.

Custom Incentives

If your project is not on the Standard Incentives list, it may qualify for a Custom Incentive. Virtually any cost-effective energy efficient project qualifies for a Custom Incentive. These incentives are calculated based on the projected annual energy reduction.

New Construction Incentives
Starting from scratch or completing a renovation? Incentives are available through the New Construction program. These incentives must be pre-approved prior to the Design Phase of the project.

Get Started! New Construction Incentives require Program involvement before Design Team meetings begin. Please review the New Construction Handbook and New Construction Guidelines, then contact us to begin the application process.

Whole Building Performance/Retro-Commissioning Incentives (RCx)
Retro-Commissioning (RCx) is the process of optimizing systems within your building and requires an extensive facility assessment to explore energy-saving opportunities. RCx is a good solution for large buildings. The program pays $.02-.03 per kWh for the assessment (depending on size of the building), in addition to $.07 per kWh saved on all RCx projects.

Get Started! You must use a pre-approved RCx service provider (RSP), so contact an RSP to get started today.
