How does the Retail Gas Supplier (RGS) or Customer find their Maximum Daily Nomination (MDN) for their accounts?
The MDN applies to all accounts and will be set based on the highest monthly usage over the previous 12 monthly billing periods, multiplied by 1.5 then divided by 10. The gas transport system, Supply Choice Portal, will not allow nominations to be entered above the MDN.
When is the nomination deadline?
The month-ahead nomination deadline is 11:30 a.m. CST, one business day before the first of the month. The day-ahead nomination deadline is 11:30 a.m. CST, one business day before the gas day.
How much notice does EUT need when a customer wants to switch between transportation and system service?
Customers must notify Ameren by July 1 of their intent to switch services for an effective date of November 1.
What if my marketer/supplier drops me?
If you would like to switch to another supplier, please complete a Broker Authorization Form with the information of your new supplier.
Note: On a case-by-case basis, you may be able to switch from transport service to Ameren's natural gas supply service. Contact End User Transportation and we will assist you with your request.
Is there a method to obtain daily meter information sooner than two-three days later?
Daily balanced customers are required to provide a dedicated phone line, which allows Ameren to retrieve their daily usage. Ameren schedules a call shortly after 9 a.m. and the data is posted to Gas Choice Portal in the afternoon of the same day, which allows you to view your daily meter information one day after the fact.
Monthly balanced customers can view their daily meter information two to three days after the fact.
Do I need a dedicated phone line for my meter?
Yes. Ameren requires daily-balanced customers to have a voice grade phone line with a separate dedicated phone number. The line cannot be connected through a switchboard. Monthly-balanced customers are not required to have a dedicated line unless gas requirements exceed 100K ccf per year.
