Energy Audit Improvements - Natural Gas General Service Rebate Program & Requirements
|General Service Energy Audit Improvements|
Rebates are available for the purchase and installation of specific gas-efficient equipment and building shell measures. These rebates are available for measures installed upon the recommendation of a qualified auditor performing a comprehensive energy audit at the business. Measures installed are eligible for only one rebate either through the General Service Energy Audit suggested measure improvements or through the General Service rebate program without an audit. You cannot receive two rebates for the same measure.
Audits must be performed by qualified professionals (Registered Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, Certified Energy Manager, or equivalent training, experience and continuing education). Audit procedures and reports must reach the level of effort of a Level II - Energy Survey and Analysis as described in the most recent edition of "Procedures for Commercial Building Energy Audits" published by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers.
Eligible measures include: ceiling insulation, wall insulation, air sealing measures and hot water measure kit. See rebate form for eligible measures and rebate amounts.
Improvements eligible for this rebate are result of a customer's completed 2016 or 2017 comprehensive energy audit. A comprehensive blower door audit must be performed during the energy audit by a qualified auditor.
An audit must have been performed on or after Jan. 1, 2016, and not later than Dec. 31, 2017, to be eligible.
Customers must submit a copy of the auditor's comprehensive energy audit report along with receipts for products purchased in 2017. This rebate cannot be combined with other measures that are already offered under a different rebate category such as: ceiling and wall insulation, hot water measure kit, pre-rinse spray valve program, etc.
