Ameren Missouri's average electric rates are the lowest of any investor-owned utility in Missouri. We strive to provide our customers value by supplying reliable service at affordable rates. Residential customers pay a charge of $9.00 per month that reflects the costs of making service available, for example, metering, meter reading, billing and customer service. That’s a fixed monthly charge. Then there's the energy or usage charge, which goes up or down depending on how much electricity is used.
