Spoon River Transmission Line Project

About the Project

 
 

Ameren Transmission Company of Illinois (ATXI) has received approval from the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) to build a 345,000-volt transmission line connecting Galesburg and Peoria, Illinois.

The Spoon River Transmission Line Project is part of a Multi-Value Project (MVP) that was approved in 2011 by the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), a regional transmission organization.

The Spoon River Transmission Line Project is directly aligned with Ameren's goals of providing reliable, efficient and environmentally responsible energy.
